Congratulations to all who participated and placed in the this year’s derby. We ran a total of 71 heats. The average time of all heats was 3.24 seconds. The fastest was 3.067 seconds. All 3 lanes saw the same number of 1st, 2nd & 3rd place finishes plus or minus 1. The full 2013 PWD Group Standings are available as a pdf file. Thanks again to all who helped in setup, production and tear down for the event.

Your leisurely cruise of the mighty Mississippi will lead you to the notable site of the 1815 Battle of New Orleans, located in the Jean Lafitte National Historical Park and Preserve, where you can disembark to tour the Chalmette Battlefield including the remarkable Malus-Beauregard House and the Chalmette Monument. The Cub Scout Ovenighter is a one-night camping experience close to home. It is a great way to introduce our newest Cubs and families to the fun of camping. Check in will begin at 5 PM on Friday evening, followed by a campfire show and cracker barrel. Other activities will include a rope bridge and games. Saturday Morning we will provide breakfast. This event is open to all registered Cub Scouts and their families.
